Amy, NCG

Salon Manager

Hi my name is Amy! I was raised in Gahanna and currently reside there with my two yorkies, Roman and Mallie. I have spent most of my life working with dogs. Dog grooming is not only my career but my passion. I regularly attend continuing education events and dog shows to keep up with the current trends in pet grooming, handling and health. Working at Emi Pet has been the best experience for me. To work in such a nice facility, where there is an emphasis on quality over quantity, and pets are treated like family members is truly unique. I works at both locations: the exciting Short North location and the peaceful New Albany location. In my free time, I enjoy attending Columbus Blue Jackets & Cleveland Indians games, cooking and lifting weights.

Hello my name is Isaac, and to your pet, "Uncle Isaac"! My love for animals started at a young age, and I found my calling as a groomer when I realized how difficult it could be to trust your dog in the care of a stranger. I see myself as an artist, but a pet daddy first. My expertise is in the area of communication - connecting with the pet AND the pet parent - while delivering detailed hand scissoring service. In 2006, after a tour of duty in the Air Force with Honorable Discharge, my dream of being a pet stylist finally came true. I’m so happy to be part of the Emi Pet family. Emi stands for " blessings of beauty" which perfectly describes the type of pet stylist I strive to be. In my spare time, i enjoy taking care of my own fur babies, fostering and rescue, teaching Zumba, working out and spending time with my family and friends.

Brittany, NCMG

Assistant Salon Manager

Hi my name is Brittany and I have been grooming for eight years. I own a Standard Poodle, Rita and you’ll see her in different hair cuts all the time. I like to think outside the box when it comes to style - from incorporating different breed styles to adding a pop of color. Continuing education on grooming is a very important part of my life. It helps me to stay up to date on the latest products and techniques. I have volunteered at the local animal shelter by grooming those who need it most. I love not only their physical transformation but also the more confident personality that comes with feeling great. In my free time, I love to hike with my friends and Rita.

Hello I'm Sarah. I started grooming in 2013 in Chicago where I had gone to grooming school for the six months prior. I started working at Emi Pet in 2015 and fell in love with the shop and everyone in it straight away. I always have an ever changing group of pets. Currently I have 3 cats, 2 rats, and a hamster. I adore every animal that comes into my home and on to my grooming table. I love grooming especially creative grooming such as hair dye and Mohawks. If anyone asks for anything creative it would make my day. I spend my free time watching instructional grooming videos to further my learning to be able to give better grooms and a wider variety of styles.

Hello there, my name is Heather! Since I was a little girl, I knew that my life would revolve around animals. Not only do I find them cute and cuddly, but I've always been fascinated by each animal's differences and personalities. That love first brought me into the grooming world nine years ago and today I couldn't be more proud to be a part of the Emi Pet family. Like people, every animal is unique. Therefore, I take a very patient, open-minded, and gentle approach to every groom because I want your babies to have the best experience possible so they shine both inside and out. When I'm not enjoying my time with your four-legged kiddos at the salon, I'm at home with my own furbabies, admiring the animals at our incredible zoo and aquarium, or even having fun with virtual animals on my phone (I love Pokemon Go!).

Hello my name is Sasha! My entire life, I have always had a huge love for animals of all kinds. Growing up with my two dogs, Kaboom, Maxine, and my cat, Max, they were my childhood friends. Never in a million years would I think that I would become a groomer, but grooming has changed my life. Not only do I love learning about all different breed standards, but also enjoy the creative side of grooming as well. Working at Emi Pet is a blessing. The environment is so warm and loving. My pet customers and their parents are like my family. When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my childhood dog, Maxine. She is a ten-year-old Lab. I will soon to start my own family with a Doberman and a Yorkie named Skylar and Buddy.

 

I have had the pleasure of having Emma and Patrick attend the National Cat Groomers School in SC. Both are extremely passionate about working with the animals and providing quality care. They both exhibited proficient handling skills while working with the cats during school session and were able to give each cat a beautiful groom! They knowledge and expertise will be a nice addition to the grooming community.

Emma and Patrick are a rare and wonderful breed of pet groomer stylists. Highly skilled with the kindest and most gentle hands on the youngsters for their first grooms or gentle and understanding pleasure handling the long loved oldsters. Seldom in my over 50 years of grooming have I met this combination of what I consider necessary skills. They have the ability to understand the pets needs and reassure with kindness. They are some of the only groomers I would trust with our precious puppies or my 14 1/2 year old Standard Poodle.
